A New Field of Presence
Signal is not style. It’s not emotion. It’s structure.
It sets out to show that presence, long thought to be intangible, can be built, encoded, and transmitted. What we call attention, resonance, or "vibe" has a spine, and that spine can be applied across AI, story, therapy, and design.
Signal began in literature but revealed itself as something larger: a principle that moves through silence, grief, syntax, code, and memory. It proposes that absence, when held with coherence, becomes presence, and that presence, when sustained, takes on structure of its own.
And it begins with the person. Presence does not start in the words, the model, or the page. It starts in the state of the one holding it. Signal is presence carried in language, and once language carries it, the rest responds: machines, healing, myth, and you.
